Made in England in 1996 and bearing the official Wedgwood backstamp with the World of Peter Rabbit Frederick Warne trademark, this is a genuinely lovely piece of classic British collectable china - the kind that finds a home on a dresser, a display shelf, or a kitchen wall and stays there for years, quietly making every room a little more charming.

The plate features a soft cream ground with a delicately scattered clover leaf border in soft grey-green, edged with a fine gold rim.

At the centre, four beautifully rendered scenes from the classic Beatrix Potter illustrations - Peter in his iconic blue jacket looking over his shoulder, Peter facing forward with his paws clasped, a terracotta pot of lush geraniums, and a sage green watering can nestled amongst trailing plants.

The illustrations are crisp, clear and full of the gentle character that has made Peter Rabbit one of the most beloved children's classics in the world.
