Shipping Policy
At Clayful Thoughts™, we take great care in preparing and packing every order.
Please take a moment to read our shipping information so you know exactly what to expect.
Dispatch Times
Every item in our shop has an estimated dispatch time listed on its product page. Please note that dispatch time is separate from delivery time.
Dispatch time is how long it takes us to prepare and send your order.
Delivery time is how long Royal Mail or our courier takes once your parcel has been dispatched.
Our ranges each have their own dispatch timeframes:
❤️ Hugs & Hug Cards - dispatched within 24-48 hours of receiving your order
🌸 Personalised Superpower Flower Hugs - 5-7 working days, allowing for making and drying
🏺 Other Clay Gifts - 10-15 working days
💍 Jewellery - dispatched within 1 working day
🏛️ Pottery - dispatched within 1 working day, excluding personalised pottery and items with a longer timeframe shown on the product page
🧵 Crafter’s Corner - within 7 working days
🎁 Other Giftware & Cards - dispatched within 1 working day
🪙 Vintage & Collectables - dispatched within 1 working day
Please always check the individual product page, especially for personalised pieces or items with a longer preparation time.
Ordering from more than one collection?
No problem!
Your Hugs will be dispatched within their stated timeframe.
Where other items need longer to prepare, your Hugs will be sent separately at no additional split-dispatch charge.
Any remaining items will follow according to the dispatch timeframes shown on their product pages.
For other items dispatched by Clayful Thoughts™, we normally send everything together based on the longest dispatch timeframe in that part of your order.
Crafter’s Corner items are dispatched separately by their makers.
If you need other items sooner, we’re happy to arrange an additional split dispatch. Please contact us before or immediately after placing your order. An additional packaging and postage charge of £4.00 applies to this requested service, but not to the separate dispatch of your Hugs.
UK Shipping
📦 Standard delivery - £4.50, estimated 3–5 business days after dispatch.
🎁 FREE standard delivery on orders of £40.00 or more
These are our usual delivery rates for products outside the Hug postage offer.
Hugs & Hug Cards
❤️ FREE standard Evri postage to England, Wales and Scotland, including the Scottish Highlands and Islands.
📦 Standard Evri postage to Northern Ireland - £2.70.
Standard delivery is estimated at 2–4 business days after dispatch. Remote-area delivery times may vary.
🚚 For England and Wales only, an Express upgrade is available for £1.00, with estimated delivery in 1–2 business days after dispatch.
Express delivery does not shorten the preparation time for your gift. Delivery estimates are not guaranteed.
These postage arrangements also apply to our personalised Superpower Flower Hugs, which have a 5–7-working-day preparation and dispatch timeframe.
If your basket includes Hugs and other products, the applicable delivery charges for the other products still apply. Your delivery options and total postage charge will be shown at checkout.
Scottish Highlands, Islands & Northern Ireland
🎁 FREE standard delivery on orders of £40.00 or more.
For Hugs covered by our postage offer, standard postage is FREE throughout Scotland, including the Highlands and Islands, and £2.70 to Northern Ireland.
Delivery Area
We currently deliver within the United Kingdom only and do not offer international shipping at this time.
Crafter's Corner
Items from our Crafter's Corner range are handmade by our wonderful independent makers and are dispatched directly by them.
These items will arrive in a separate parcel from the rest of your order and may have a different dispatch timeframe.
The estimated dispatch time for each Crafter's Corner item is shown on the product page.
Large & Multiple Item Orders
If your order contains multiple items or particularly large items, we may need to send your order in more than one parcel.
There is no additional charge for this - we just want to make sure everything arrives safely and in perfect condition!
Packaging
At Clayful Thoughts™, we like to do our bit for the environment.
From time to time, your order may arrive in a recycled outer box. Some of our pieces are wonderfully unique shapes and a recycled box is sometimes the only way we can find the perfect fit!
Please don't be surprised if the outside looks a little loved - what's inside is what counts.
If your order includes gift wrapping, your item will still be lovingly gift wrapped inside the outer box, just as you'd expect. ❤️
